Equality in transport industry: Akbayan Senator Risa Hontiveros, together with Senator Grace Poe, on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, sign the commitment pledge for the #inFAIRness national campaign which promotes gender rights in the transport sector. Hontiveros, who opened the campaign at the Senate together with Poe, stated that the transport sector needs to be reformed such that women would be protected from harassment and discrimination. She added that the transport industry should ensure that women are paid competitively and given equal opportunities to advance and develop their full careers, enhance their talents and bring out their innovative skills.
