Villar Seeks Updates on Boracay Rehab: Two months after the closure of Boracay Island, Sen. Cynthia Villar, chair of the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, asks for updates on the rehabilitation efforts in the island. Department of Interior and Local Government Asec. Epimaco Densing III told the committee that given the milestones achieved in the rehabilitation, they are looking at a September 'soft opening' of the Island. Also during the hearing, Villar expressed concern over the still unresolved issue of the delineation of the two water concessionaires in the area with regards to proper waste water disposal.
