Sen. Cynthia A. Villar lauds Soroptimist women: Sen. Cynthia A. Villar commended Soroptimist International members for being in the forefront of helping and empowering women. In her speech during the Soroptimist International Philippines Region (A Foundation) 26th Biennial Conference, Villar said helping women and their families is one of the most effective ways of making a positive difference in the society. As a legislator, Villar said she prioritized legislations that promote the welfare of women and family. As a social entrepreneur, she also provides women with livelihood opportunities to become financially independent or economically empowered.
