Sen. Cynthia A. Villar at Manila Bay Clean-Up: Since the Philippines’ coral reef system is considered second largest in Southeast Asia, Sen. Cynthia A. Villar ordered the arrest in our bodies of water all plastic wastes that could destroy our coral reefs. The senator, chair of the Senate environment committee, directed all concerned government agencies to help protect and conserve our marine resources. Villar was the Guest Speaker during the Manila Bay Sunset Partnership Program Inc. (MBSPI) observance of the “Month of the Ocean 2018 with the theme, “Together for our Reefs” at the Roxas Boulevard in Manila.
