Sen. Cynthia A. Villar on government policies and approaches for environmental sustainability, food safety and security: Sen. Cynthia A. Villar says that as chairperson of the Senate Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, she focused on the link between environmental issues and agricultural development. Speaking at De La Salle University’s plenary discussion with the theme, “Ugnayang Buhay para sa Inang Kalikasan,” Villar says our country is one of the most vulnerable to climate change and the agriculture sector is the most affected. Villar is also the chairperson of the Senate agriculture committee.
