Pimentel meets new French Ambassador: Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III receives the new Ambassador of France to the Philippines, Nicolas Galey, during a courtesy call at the Senate on February 5, 2018. Pimentel informed the Ambassador that the Senate was studying France’s current political structure as one of the models for possible changes in executive-legislative relations. Galey acknowledged the initiatives of the Philippine leadership to amend the country’s Constitution and expressed France’s support to this undertaking. They also discussed important issues such as the Mindanao peace process which France has always been very supportive of.
