BICAM ON PROPOSED GIFT CHECK ACT: Senator Migz Zubiri, chair of the Senate Committee on Trade, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, preside over the bicameral conference committee hearing, Monday, October 9, 2017, on the disagreeing provisions of Senate and House versions of the proposed Gift Check Act. The measure removes the expiry dates on gift checks and cards. Once approved into law, all gift checks, certificates, and cards should be sold at a discount of five percent from its face value.
