VEGGIES FARMING: Senator Cynthia Villar leads the launching of the latest agriculture-related training program of Villar SIPAG at Villar SIPAG Farm School in Bacoor, Cavite. This time, the 12-week training course is on "Urban Containerized Vegetable Farming." Villar, chair of the Senate Agriculture and Food committee, filed Senate Bill No. 318 or the “Local Government Agriculture Development Act of 2016”, which seeks to promote urban agriculture. The senator believes urban agriculture will help us make wise use of open spaces in communities and later on become a source of income for the neighbourhood. The training program is in partnership with Macondray Plastics (MacPlas) and SM Foundation, Inc.'s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan.
