KOKO AT LBP WORKSHOP EVENT ON FEDERALISM: Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III shares his views on federalism with village officials present at the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas (LBP) “Strategic consultation and workshop on federalism, barangay reform and role of barangays in national security concerns” on Monday, July 11, 2017. Pimentel said that a federal form of government would speed up economic development in every region, since the federal regions will be in a “friendly competition among brothers and sisters.” “Under a federal system, the federal regions will support each other, and there will be less of the huge disparity in development among the different parts of our country which we see today,” he said.
