CHALLENGES FOR A PROGRESSIVE M&E INDUSTRIES: Senator Cynthia A. Villar cites the metals and engineering industries' significant role in the country’s development. Speaking during the Metals & Engineering (M&E) Week celebration of the Department of Science & Technology-Metals Industry Research & Development Center (DOST-MIRDC) at MIRDC Bldg. Platinum Auditorium, Taguig City, Villar also acknowledges its indispensable role in government and private infrastructure projects. With the present administration's infrastructure development, she stressed that the DOST-MIRDC will surely has a lot to contribute in the infrastructure projects for transportation, water resources, sewerage and sanitation, flood management, solid waste management, maritime, social infrastructure, energy, information communications technology among others.
