MINORITY BLOC CALLS FOR JOINT SESSION: Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon and his fellow minority bloc members hold a copy of a resolution calling for a joint Congressional session on President Rodrigo Duterte's declaration of martial law in Mindanao during a press conference, Tuesday afternoon. Senate Resolution 390, which was filed by Drilon together with (from left) Senators Antonio Trillanes IV, Kiko Pangilinan, Risa Hontiveros, Bam Aquino, and Leila De Lima (not in photo), states that it is “incumbent upon both the Senate and the House of Representatives to conduct a joint session for the purpose of determining the constitutional and factual validity of the proclamation, of preventing abuses in its implementation, and ensuring the safety of the people of Marawi and the whole of Mindanao.” (PRIB Photo by Joseph Vidal/30 May 2017)
