GORDON MEETS SAF44 FAMILIES: Senator Richard Gordon,chair of the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights, on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 meets with the families of the “SAF44,” or the 44 Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP SAF) troopers killed during the January 25, 2015 Mamasapano incident. The families went to the Senate to seek assistance in reopening the official investigation of the incident, considered to be the largest loss of lives involving local security forces in recent history.
