SHORTER DRIVE: Senator Cynthia A. Villar, together with Las Pinas Mayor Imelda Aguilar and DPWH-NCR Las Pinas-Muntinlupa District Engr. Wilfredo Mallari, shows the 2nd phase of the Zapote River Drive. The new route that extends from Margie Moran St. in BF Resort Village to Pegasus Street in Moonwalk Village is expected to cut to only 10 minutes the drive from Moonwalk to Zapote. The current drive to the said places using the Alabang Zapote Road takes one hour due to traffic. The new route was opened as Las Piñas City commemorated the 120th anniversary of the 1897 Battle of Zapote Bridge and the kick off of the two-day 3rd Las Piñas Zapote River Festival.
