WETLANDS EXHIBIT: Sen. Cynthia Villar was joined by Senators Nancy Binay and Loren Legarda in opening the exhibit 'Wetland Wonders of the Philippines' at the Senate. The exhibit showcases the seven sites in the country declared as Wetlands of International Importance by the Ramsar Convention and stresses the importance to protect and conserve the wetlands in the survival of marine resources and in disaster risk prevention. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was also attended by Department of Environment and Natural Resources National Capital Region Dir. Lourdes Wagan and Las Pinas-Paranaque Critical Habitat and Eco-Tourism Area Focal Leader Rey Aguinaldo.
