STATUS OF E-GOV’T SERVICES: Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV, chair of the Senate Committee on Science and Technology, presides over a Senate hearing looking into the status of e-government services in the country, Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Aquino said that he Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is mandated by virtue of Republic Act No. 10844 to lead government efforts on the information and communications technology (ICT) front, including the harmonization and coordination of all national ICT plans and programs to ensure knowledge, information and resource-sharing, database-building and agency networking linkages among government agencies in the country.
