DEFENDING THE BUDGET FOR AGRICULTURE: Sen.Cynthia Villar, vice chair of the Committee on Finance, defended the budget of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and attached agencies for 2017 in plenarylast Thursday. Villar said the P50.5 billion budget was crafted to enhancecompetitiveness of Filipino farmers and fisherfolks.
