CHINA VISIT: Sen. Cynthia A. Villar gives a souvenir from the Philippines to Prof. Yuan Longping, the Father of Hybrid Rice, after listening and gaining insights from the latter’s presentation about “Developing Hybrid Rice for the Food Security in the World” at the Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center. The senator, vice chairperson of the Senate Committee of Agriculture & Food, visited the Hybrid Rice Research Center (HRRC) as part of her tour in China.
