FISHING FOR A LIVING: Senator Cynthia A. Villar, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Social Justice, Welfare and Rural Development, joins the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) during the distribution of fishing nets, boats and other utensils to Baseco residents who rely on fishing for their living. Villar and the BFAR also hold ceremonial stocking of fingerlings (tilapia) for fish cages and award aquasilviculture project to boost government efforts to improve the living conditions of fishermen as well as protect and preserve the environment.
