Villar congratulates Hidilyn Diaz for ending the country’s 20-year Olympic medal drought after winning the silver medal at the women’s 53-kg weightlifting competition at the Rio Games. She said Hidilyn’s success shows us that with hard work and unwavering faith in God, no dream is too big to be realized. She was those who filed a Senate resolution to commend Diaz for the honor and international recognition she has brought to the country.
