ANAK NG OFW SEMINAR: Senator Cynthia Villar says they are expanding its OFW assistance program by reaching out to the children of migrant workers. The Villar SIPAG (Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance) in partnership with Beam & Go and the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People (ECMI) conducted the first “Isang Seminar sa Pangkabuuang Kabutihan ng mga Anak OFW” at Laurel House, Mandaluyong City. About 100 children of OFWs participated in the one-day summer workshop composed of discussions on perks and challenges of being an OFW child, saving money, and protection against cybercrime.
