KAPIHAN SA SENADO WITH SENATE PRESIDENT DRILON: Senate President Franklin M. Drilon tells media during the Kapihan sa Senado that the Senate was able to recover and regain the people’s trust and confidence despite the controversies that hounded the 16th Congress. “We did not break or implode as some of our critics predicted,” Drilon said, adding that the Senate in fact passed on third reading a total of 284 bills and of which, 116 became laws, 59 were pending for President’s approval, four bicam reports are pending in the House of Representatives for ratification, while seven more are being discussed in the bicam.
