DRISENATE HONORS TUCP FOUNDER: Senate President Franklin M. Drilon presents a copy of Senate Resolution No. 1719 to the Mendoza family, expressing its profound sympathy and sincere condolences for Democrito Mendoza, founder of the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP), who passed away last January 12, 2016. “Mendoza’s unwavering commitment and legendary courage to promote the interest of our laborers through peaceful modes resulted to increased productivity in the workforce, that ultimately helped oil the wheels of our economy,” Drilon said in his resolution. Flanking Drilon are Mendoza’s wife, Marianita Mendoza, former Social Security Service Commissioner and son, Representative Raymond Democrito Mendoza (TUCP Partylist).
