SENATOR LEGARDA AND PRESIDENT HOLLANDE: French President Francois Hollande mentioned his important and historic state visit to the Philippines last February during the dinner reception he hosted at the Elysee Palace for the delegates to the Summit of the Consciences for the Climate. He especially acknowledged Senator Loren Legarda, a panelist speaker at the Summit, for her help in highlighting the climate change issue, particularly in formulating a stronger language for the joint Philippines-France Manila Call to Action on Climate Change, which the Senator read along with French actress Marion Cotillard during the state visit.
