SULTANATE OF SULU AND IPs REPRESENTATIVES AT BBL HEARING: Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, chair of the Senate Committee on Local Government, assures representatives of the Sultanate of Sulu and indigenous peoples (IPs) of Mindanao that their rights will be recognized and protected under the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL). “Unless BBL addresses the concerns of the majority of the stakeholders, and not just those of the MILF, I’m afraid we will not be able to realize our dream of a lasting peace in Muslim Mindanao,” Marcos said.
