PROTECTING THE COUNTRY’S CORAL REEFS: Sen. Loren Legarda, chair of the Senate Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, discusses ways in protecting and preserving the country’s coral reefs, Thursday morning. Legarda, who is also the chair of the Committee on Climate Change, highlighted the importance of coral reefs to marine life. "The destruction of our marine ecosystems will not only lead to the extinction of thousands of species but will also be detrimental to tourism, food supply, and sustenance and livelihood of our fisher-folk," Legarda said.
