WOMEN’S MONTH: Senator Cynthia A. Villar poses with the women of Imus, Cavite, after leading the opening ceremonies for the town’s celebration of the International Women’s Month. In her speech during the event, Villar called on women to celebrate their power, influence and importance. “We are important. I am important,” she said. She noted that the country needs more empowered women due to the important role they play in nation building. “When we empower women, we empower families and generations of people,” she further said.
