GUSI AWARDEE: Senator Cynthia A. Villar receives a plaque of appreciation from Ambassador Barry S. Gusi as his wife, Dr. Evelyn Tantamco-Gusi and members of Gusi Board of Directors look on. The senator, a known advocate of entrepreneurship and livelihood programs, has been conferred the recognition by the international award-giving body due to her efforts to alleviate poverty and improve the lives of poor Filipinos. The awarding ceremony was held at the PICC in Pasay City last November 26 which coincides with the celebration of the Gusi Peace Prize International Friendship Day.
