FARM SCHOOLS: Senator Cynthia A. Villar, chairperson of the Senate Agriculture and Food Committee, receives a plague of appreciation from Philippine Federation of Family Farm Rural Schools (PHILFEFFARS) president Dr. Jose Rene Gayo for being the Keynote Speaker in its 3rd National Summit held at Marco Polo Hotel, Ortigas. In her speech, Villar said the implementation of the Rural Farm Schools Act following its signing in September last year will have a wide-ranging benefits to the agriculture sector, particularly to farmers and fisherfolks and their families. She believes it would serve as “human capital investment” to countryside growth and development.
